To take a break from dieting I decided to write about the importance of sleep. Along with working out and eating right, sleep is very important. Teens/adults NEED a full 8-9 hours of sleep a night to make sure they are rested and are able to work to their full potential the next day. Although many people can suffer from night/sleep disorders like insomnia, sleep walking, having night terrors, nightmares and most commonly found in adults is sleep apnea. These disorders do prevent some people from getting the full 9 hours of rest. Sleep deprivation is an accumulation of around 20-30 hours of sleep lost a week. That is not returnable, we are losing many hours of sleep and it is lowering our performance in everything we do. Make sure you are taking time out of your busy schedule and make sure you are taking care of yourself in all the different ways. Make sure you get enough sleep, eat right, exercise appropriately, take care of your skin and body and also take care of your relationships. But in order to take care of someone else you need to be able to take care of yourself.
