Fund Created to Help One of Leyden’s Own: Security Guard Cyrus Clarke

After working at Leyden for several years, security guard, Cyrus Clarke has been diagnosed with cancer.

“The physical, spiritual, and financial drains can be overwhelming,” said East Leyden Dean Michael Grosch.

Which is why Leyden students, staff and faculty, “will be collecting donations and raising funds for Mr. Clark and his family,” Dean Grosch added.

Donations can be dropped off in the Dean’s office and can also be placed in the jars that are in the cafeteria.

Checks are acceptable and they should be written out to, “Cyrus D. Clark Fund” and dropped off at the East Leyden’s Dean’s Office or mailed directly to:

MB Financial Bank

ATT: Nancy Acevedo

2992 Indian Trail Rd.

Aurora, IL 60502

“While we cannot lighten his physical burden, our prayers and well wishes will undoubtedly lift his spirits,” Mr. Grosch added.

Mr. Clark was the first security guard I have ever met in Leyden he showed me how to get to my class and showed me where to go to the buses. He was a great security guard and a great person. I will miss him very much.
