Girls Swimming Season

Girls+Swimming+Season

Girls swimming ended the season placing fifth in sectionals. The girls had a great season all around. With tons of practice and preparation on their side, they showed off all of what they can offer this season leading up to sectionals. The girls worked hard and prepared by using visualization and relaxation tapes to relax their minds, dieting for their physical health, and lighter gym time to not stress their bodies too hard. With all the practice and preparation, every girl on the team was able to improve her times and personal records in the pool this season. Kamila Obrzut was able to drop her time from 1:44s to 1:19 in the 100 breaststroke between the season and sectionals. Nicole Kelly was seconds away from breaking the 100 backstroke record. The whole season was very successful for the team. The team was able to win 1st in both the Eagle invite and Maine East Relay. They even came to place second in their conference.  As sectionals came by, ten girls were chosen for the sectionals team: Julia Kornatowska, Justyna Kowalski, Olga Bulka, Janet Kitova, Ashley Garcia, Kamila Obrzut, Natalie Agoncillo, Solomiya Pasternak, Briana Kwit, and Nicole Kelly. This team worked hard the whole year and proved themselves to be the best. This team gave it their all, and it brought them to the top 5 placing 5th between 12 other competing teams
