Boys Basketball Team Heading To Regionals

Monday, February 25th marks the start of the boys basketball regional tournament which will be held at York Community High School.

Leyden is seeded 10th in the tournament while their opponent, West Chicago, is seeded 23rd, meaning the eagles are in a good position to win.

“If we play up to our potential, we should be able to beat West Chicago,” assistant coach Mike Hamilton said.

The eagles are coming off a huge senior night game that was won in overtime and led by senior Jonny Woolf.

“The win against Downers Grove South was big for us,” coach Hamilton said.

The game is being held at York Community High School and will start at 7:30 pm.
