Watching the Hawks game from your couch at home just not fulfilling your hockey needs? The Leyden Hockey club’s first game is this Friday, October 11th.

This year’s team has a lot of experience, with a number of returning seniors.

Senior and center Jordan Niedziela noted how this leadership helps make the team strong and “could potentially lead us to state.”

The team works all season long in hopes of first making it to the playoffs, with their sights set on the state championship.

Jordan’s other goal beside getting to state is to personally lead the team in points this season.

His position as a center coupled with his four years with the team puts him in a great place to do just that.

This year the players are hoping for even more support from fellow classmates and the surrounding communities.

Every other Wednesday and every Friday night there’s a game at nine o’clock at the Franklin Park ice arena. Admission is free, but concessions and Leyden Hockey gear are available for purchase.

Come out and support the team as they take on Fox Valley at 9:00 p.m. sharp.
