For the new semester, I plan on keeping with my sports theme, but changing the direction of it. The book I am reading is called The Worst of Sports by Jesse Lamovsky, Matthew Roseti, and Charlie DeMarco and the theme I will be writing about will be the legacy of athletes: are they remembered for their accomplishments of greatest failures?I’m going to look all throughout professional sports, not just one (like football and concussions that I did last semester). I figure the wider range of sports will allow me to get a deeper understanding of what athletes are remembered for. Part of this topic could include me conducting a survey with students asking them what they remember most about controversial athletes such as Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, and Kobe Bryant.
