In this week’s honor blog, I will be covering stress with friends. We all have the desire to fit in, it is a basic human need and want. Without this feeling, we feel isolated and lonely which is not something most people would want to feel. As we move from elementary to middle school, high school, college and even in the work field, we all meet new people and hang out with different groups as we aspire for change. In the present though, we go through times where we are stressed with making sure we fit in and that people like us which is a natural thing to think. Stress with friendships comes in both good and bad forms. When it comes to the good, they can be an escape from reality from our families, school or other stresses. Friends are a great thing to have in our lives since we connect easier and are with each other more than anyone else. In a bad way, arguments or feeling excluded can come with friendship which can cause us to feel bad about ourselves. Overall, stress can come with friendship in many ways but the gift of friendship is something that can help heal a lot if surrounded with the right people.
