The creative writing club competed in the Young Chicago Author’s “Louder Than a Bomb” poetry slam on March 2 in Columbia College.
Leyden’s team, which goes by the name “Kickin’ at the Darkness,” won first place at the semi-finals on Saturday, March 2.
Despite some strong competition, “Kickin at the Darkness” was able to pass to the next day’s finals against three other teams. The team put in another great performance but came in fourth.
