Teen Rights in School

Yonka Angelova, Reporter

Teens go throughout tough times during high school and think that they don’t have any freedom in school. Public schools are run by the government, therefore school authorities may not conduct unreasonable searches. However, if there is reasonable suspicion the school can conduct a search. In addition, there are different types of searches. The most common searches are pat-down and locker search. If a student is placed under arrest they can ask for a attorney and choose not to answer any questions. Teen Rights are extremely important because teens need to know that there are consequences to their actions.
