Brothers are annoying, having to deal with them daily is hard, but can you imagine dealing with over 50 “brothers” daily? Julissa Ramirez, senior and manager of the varsity football team, working with balancing schoolwork and dealing with a group of 55 boys almost daily. Julissa shares her thoughts on her last homecoming game as a high school student and as the manager, “I think the game went really well. They had a lot of enthusiasm and support from the stands since it was the Juniors first and Seniors last Homecoming Game.” says Julissa, “I’m very proud of the team, the way they all came together, supporting one another, having each other’s back and giving so much confidence.” Julissa then taps into her time as the manager, “I enjoyed being the manager all four years. It was fun watching all of us grow and build strong relationships” says Julissa with a smile, “Since I am a girl however, they do tend to look and treat me differently.” Julissa then speaks on growth of the players, “In my opinion I would like to say that Zach has made the most growth and improvement after having multiple dislocations of the shoulder. He pushed through it and made what was left of his last year of high school football. During the game I would say Dom played his best, in my opinion. He has strength that no one else could have.” Julissa then leaves us with a little fact, “And even though football players seem selfish and greedy, they are very sweet once you get to know them.” Julie now can live more peacefully without having to deal with 50 teenage boys weekly.
