Wrestling Season is Here

The wrestling season is approaching very fast, and the team has high expectations for the season. In about a week and a half the team starts its first practice and about two weeks after that the first meet is a home meet against Rolling Meadows.  The team lost most  of its starters last year , but this year the incoming starters were hard at work preparing for the season and closing the experience gap by competing in one of the toughest national tournaments around. Despite none of the wrestlers placing at the meet, the team saw some success and gained confidence by wrestling some of the best wrestlers in the nation. This confidence boost will be a key part in future Eagle victories this year as a team with a lot of first year starters in the mix. Make sure to follow the team’s season by listening to the morning announcements and attending meets.

The wrestlers have trained hard, especially the ones who went to Battle Creek, Michigan for the national tournament. Those wrestlers have been training hard for six long weeks.
