Another Impressive Season For Girls Bowling

While spring sports are getting underway, one sport from the winter season that deserves recognition is the girls bowling team.

Going into the state meet the ladies had a record of 9-0 overall in their regular season with a 8-0 conference record. Equally impressive was the fact that the girls placed first in 9 of the invites they attended.

“This team was excellent. They overcame obstacles as one collective unit, which was the foundation for their success,” coach Christopher Aylward said.

The girls had a young varsity with only two seniors and the rest comprised of juniors and sophomores.

Last season the girls only had one loss in the regular season while placing 6th as a team in state.

The girls had their state meet on February 8th and 9th at Cherry Bowl in Rockford.

The ladies ended the state meet by placing 7th as a team, and Junior Reba Hall placed 9th individually in state.

Overall, the girls had another impressive season.

“We are looking forward to another great year next season,” Coach Aylward added.
