Boys and Girls Cross Country Soaring Into Sectionals

The boys and girls cross country teams will be competing in sectionals next weekend, October 27th, at Niles West High School.

On Saturday, October 20th, the boys and girls had their regional meets at Washington Park in Chicago. Going into the meet the girls and boys knew there was going to be a lot of competition in their races.

In the girls’ race senior Danyle Segura placed tenth and junior Aleksandra Kijowska finished close behind her finishing in thirteenth as individuals. The girls placed fifth overall and are moving on to sectionals as a team.

For the boys race, senior Rocco DiMatteo placed fifth, earning all Regional team, and senior Nick Avila placed ninth. The boys placed third as a team and look strong going into sectionals on Saturday.
