Preview of the First Wrestling Meet of the Season

Leyden’s wrestling team has their first meet of the season today against Rolling Meadows.

The meet will be in the fieldhouse at begins at 6:00 p.m.  with varsity beginning around 7:15.

Rolling meadows has six returning varsity starters, but only one of them has a winning record.

Last year Leyden beat them 58 to 12 and they are looking to do much of the same this time around. Considering that the two Rolling Meadows wrestlers that won matches against Leyden last year have graduated it seems like Leyden is in a strong position to win.

Leyden has 7 returning starters from last year and the team is looking to dominate this match.

I went to the first wrestling meet and it was an awesome experience. I had so much fun hanging with friends along with watching our Leyden wrestlers do so good!
