Ask the Expert Day took place at East Leyden on Wednesday and was a huge success. Many students came together to help the 54 speakers find their way around the school and their went to various classrooms to share their expertise in various fields. 81 classes during the day had a expert.
With the addition to a new subject of ask the expert day “Entrepreneurs and Entertainment” this year’s edition was very exciting and motivating to students trying to figure out what their calling is.
Even a couple students were experts for the day. Senior Jimmy Wade and his family came to show and talk about their karate black belts and their training facility that they have opened.
Seniors Matt Renta and Mike Jardine also participated and talked about how they plan to further their education in the music industry.
Coming into its 10th year of existence, Ask the Expert Day keeps growing and benefiting students all around the school.

I thought our speaker, Cheryl Waity did a great job. Very inspiring to hear one of our former students pursing her dream of becoming a journalist.

Nice article. It gets the point across in a very strong but short way. I also like the photo slide on top.
