P
rom is a night that will always be remembered. Being one of the most important events of the whole year for a senior. A time with friends before heading off into the reality of life. Class of 25’ Karla Rodriguez and Frank Aranda share how to remember a night as the day entirely. Taking us in the morning with Karla: “I had to get ready early, due to the fact I had an AP psychology test at noon which put pressure on me, but miraculously the test had technical issues and was rescheduled allowing me to get ready without feeling rushed.” A head start to shine at prom for Karla. “I got my dress from Glamlora, but had to alter it to my size since it fit loose. And Frank had the suit already, just needed to buy a red tie.” With a cutting edge and sharp look now both Karla and Frank are ready for prom.
But like everyone else, before going there was one thing they needed and just had to do. “Taking pictures at Lilacia Park was beautiful,” said Frank, “All the flowers around us created a nice background and we both don’t regret going there at all.” And just like Lilacia Park, Empress Banquets did not disappoint. Karla gushes, “The venue was pretty, and had so many places to take pictures, such as the stairway, the couch, and the halls with great lighting. We both found it memorable being able to take prom pictures with friends, it felt nice to know it would capture the memory.” Before getting to dance, a quick and swift motion by the waiters and waitresses, food was brought out. Frank and Karla said, “The food had a three course meal, including a salad, main course, and dessert. We enjoyed it and liked all the food being very filling. Honestly, looking back we wouldn’t change anything, which doesn’t mean everything went well but we still enjoyed it. It’s important to just be in the moment and have fun. The only thing we actually regret was not getting there early, most tables had already been taken and it was difficult to find one to accommodate our group. Which is something that is definitely important for anyone who plans on going.” And as the music got quieter and people left for after parties, late night snacks, or even just to go home, Frank and Karla disappeared under the starry night sky with a waning gibbous moon.
