David’s life hadn’t changed much, even a few days after his mother accidentally stabbed him. He thought she would be a bit more caring, or maybe feed him at the very least, but no. She treated him just the same – with the exception of giving him an extra twenty minutes to finish the dishes after she stabbed him. Things just kept getting progressively worse and worse for David. Even his siblings started to beat on him and took turns.

There was one day when everything seemed to turn around completely for David. Out of the blue, his mother decided to bury the hatchet and ask him if he could forgive her and pretend nothing had happened between them, and he did. For the next few days, David is having the time of his life, playing with his siblings and eating as much food as he could possibly stomach. Not too long later, a visitor comes to their house, and the woman that comes turns out to be a person checking in on David to see if he is alright and happy in his current home. David realized why his mother had been so kind lately, and his stomach drops because as soon as the lady leaves, all hell breaks loose again.
