Many Blackhawk fans have been eagerly waiting for this day, and now the day is finally here! It’s October 1st and the hockey season is finally starting.

Last season ended with the Chicago Blackhawks reclaiming the Stanley Cup by beating the Boston Bruins in game 6 of the playoffs.

Due to this year’s preseason record, winning 4 games out of 6, Chicago fans are hopeful for another great season full of victories, broken records, and very possibly bringing the Stanley Cup back to Chicago Once more.

The Blackhawks take on the Washington Capital, who were in last year’s playoffs, but they lost to the New York Rangers.

Game time begins tonight at 8:00 ET here in Chicago at the United Center.
