American Horror Story Season Two Starts with a Bloody Bang

It’s been a long awaited 8 months for American Horror Story fans who were eagerly anticipating the season premiere.

The season premiere aired on October 17, 2012, just in time for the Halloween season, and began with the episode titled “Welcome to Briarcliff.”

Last season the story took place within the haunted home of the Harmon family with the story line revolving around their encounters with the ghosts of the home’s past residents, who still resided in the house. But in this season it’s a whole new haunting with the setting taking place in the 1960’s in a mental asylum. In this new season viewers will see returning actors, but as new characters.

Returning viewers might notice that this new season’s plot is not connected to last season’s cliff-hanging ending. Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk chose to begin a whole new story with new characters and new intentions.

Despite the cliff-hanging ending, with only 4 episodes aired American Horror Story, dubbed AHS, has not upset returning viewers or new viewers.

In just the first episode, creators Murphy and Falchuk did not let viewers forget that they were watching a horror drama; the season opened with gory scenes including one where musician/actor Adam Levine’s arm is ripped off.

With only 3 episodes left , viewers should expect to get a good scare yet be prepared for plot twists and unexpected scenes.
