This weeks topic is healthy breakfast

Breakfast provides us with energy for the day and lots of nutrients. It is also a good source of protein and fiber. If these key nutrients are missed at breakfast time they probably won’t be compensated for later throughout the day.Eating breakfast helps with weight control and improves your performance with the day.

-toast (whole grain) with peanut butter and sliced bananas

-quinoa fruit salad

-whole grain toast , with avocado and a sunny side up egg

– whole grain waffles with your choice of peanut butter and jelly with slices strawberries on the side

-sliced apples with peanut butter covered with your choice of nuts and a drizzle of dark chocolate.

– A Spinach and cheddar microwave quiche ———Cover half a cup of spinach with water in a mug, and microwave for a minute. Drain water and add an egg, milk, cheese, and a crumbled slice of bacon. Mix thoroughly, then microwave for three more minutes.
