Only about 10% of people can average 200+ in bowling . Well a kid on they Leyden bowling team named Matthew Cattan is apart of that 10%. When asked about how he got into bowling he said “I’ve been bowling since I was young. My family’s been bowling, like leagues and stuff. So what really got me into bowling is my dad.” He also goes onto say “ No, I take from my dad. My dad been coaching me for my whole life, way better with his experience.”
Matt’s highest score ever was a 282 at the age of 16. “Favorite memory, is probably hitting 282” he exclaims as the pins explode in the background. Matt seems very hopeful for this team and himself as well “This year, I hope I’ll do actually pretty good, and hopefully one of us could make it to the state.” When asked favorite part of being on the team he says “ is being with the guys and having a good time and rolling from all different sports.” Matt has been balling out this season and is hopeful to continue this. Matt’s determination and grit is just one reason why he is a dog on the lanes.
