You’ve probably seen her in your classes or in the hall. But you probably haven’t seen her where she shines the most which is in the West Leyden auditorium preparing for the play Radium Girls. Annalize Lopez is a senior who’s very active in Fine arts. Annalize shares the struggles as well as the positive side of it all. She states, “I don’t even know how I do at all honestly. Although theater is time consuming, it’s flexible and directors help students with making sure everything’s in order so that helps! But staying dedicated to practicing and making sure you know your stuff sets you up for success truly.” Annalize also talks about what she thought was the most challenging to her during the play. She says “the most challenging part of preparing for this show was probably the anxiety of knowing that on one of the nights judges were coming to see us to see if we were able to bring our show to Theaterfest. We didn’t know which night they were going crazy backstage asking people if they were there. So keeping a level head and trying not to let the anxiety get to us was very challenging.”
