Neri Tapia (middle right), a senior whose passion is soccer, shares some stories about the path he wants to take with soccer. “I would like to continue playing soccer in the future, hopefully, if I can, during college, if not whenever I can or when the opportunity is presented to me.” At a young age Neri never knew his love for soccer would grow. “Soccer was never one of my biggest passions, but slowly became one.” He was never a try hard soccer fan, he just naturally started to love soccer more and more. Growing friendships and memories in soccer is never ending. He shares one of his favorite memories, “My favorite memory would be probably all the bus rides before and after games and celebrating with the team whenever we had the chance.” Through thick and thin, everyone on the team created a strong bond and forever memories that they’ll never forget. Neri was never alone, he always had his family that supported him and kept him motivated, “My parents have given a lot for me to play soccer. So, I just try to do my best everyday to make sure that the opportunities they gave me aren’t wasted.” His family are one of the big reasons on why he tries hard every time and doesn’t give up easily. Although most of his time goes into soccer he also makes time to hang out with friends and go out. He enjoys going to downtown and taking pictures.
