Holiday music, snacks, and a heart warming feel was the scene setting goal the club Fighting For Females wanted when making holiday cards to kids who spend their holidays in hospitals. Fighting For Females hosted a Thanksgiving card-making event on November 20th, 2025 in room 217. It was organized to support the “Cards for Hospitalized Kids Foundation” in focus to spreading kindness and care during the holidays.
Seniors, Gianna Martorana and Olivia Dogic talk about her favorite part of the event. Olivia Dogic says “My favorite part was knowing a smile was put on a kid’s face to make them feel better.” She really enjoyed getting together with the club and being able to connect with people over a great cause. Senior, Gianna Martorana, says, “my favorite part of the event was making the different games, such as word searches and mazes, in the cards for the kids to open and play!”
Gianna Martorana was very involved in the set-up of the F4F club event and was happy to help contribute so that everyone had fun and enjoyed their time. She also expressed that the event was very important in being there for one another and coming together as a club. She says, “It also served as a fun “club bonding” sort of activity for us! We had a bunch of snacks and holiday music to make it a chill and laid back environment.” The club event helped bring club members closer together over a thoughtful event.
Olivia Dogic expressed the time she had at the Fighting For Females event. Olivia says, “It was really fun to connect with people for a great cause and getting together and making cards.” The main part of the event was making cards for those who have to spend their time at hospitals. Olivia and Gianna both express the feeling of fulfillment when making the cards knowing they will be making a positive impact on someone’s day. Touching on this, Gianna says, “It is so heart-warming to be able to contribute to such a touching cause and give back to the “Cards For Hospitalized Kids” foundation because they do so much for the youth in our hospitals today!” Knowing something so simple can make someone’s day makes a real difference.
Lastly Gianna ends by saying that, “F4F is so grateful to be able to participate in such a lovely cause!” The club Fighting For Females also known as F4F will continue to contribute to great causes for not just the community but as many people as possible to help change lives for the better.
